Fieldlab Seedshift – moving towards sustainable seed production

Fieldlab Seedshift is a collaboration between six esteemed organizations within the seed sector. Our primary objective is to pioneer actionable solutions that steer the seed industry towards sustainability.

Our mission

The seed industry plays an irreplaceable role in feeding the world. Rapidly changing circumstances such as environmental shifts, land scarcity, the disappearance of pesticides, and societal demand for more sustainable agricultural practices present significant challenges for the industry.

To address these challenges, six firms have joined forces to pursue a shared, radical mission:

Ensuring our collective license to operate as an industry by moving towards a net-positive environmental footprint, creating implementable solutions, while maintaining sufficient levels of seed production to feed the world.

Currently, our living labs are addressing the following themes essential for sustainable seed production:

– Healthy soils
– Fertilization
– Herbicide-free weed control
